Hakim Saeed Awards - Beginning of a New Era

With so many events happening in K-town, I got the amazing opportunity to attend one of the most auspicious events of the year, the "Hakim Saeed Awards". Late Hakim Mohammad Saeed, the founder of Hamdard Pakistan is always remembered for his utmost services in herbal medicine and humanity. The great legacy of Hamdard Pakistan is known for over 100 years and the journey is still pacing towards the success everyday and another. Pioneers in herbal medicine, Hamdard Pakistan is serving the people of Pakistan in the most desirable way and that's not all, it is as popular abroad as in Pakistan.

The beautiful ceremony of Hakim Saeed Awards was arranged at the most astonishing location of Mohatta Palace where all the arrangements were done massively and on-point. It was my very first visit to such a place and while attending this warming event, I wondered how much beautiful a historical place can be. We were warmly greeted at the entrance of the venue by the management of the event who guided us towards the red carpet. If we talk about the red carpet, there was a hustle and bustle with people who have done something extraordinary in their respected fields. I was happy to see Dr. Atta-Ur-Rehman, Talat Hussain, Anwar Masood, Bushra Rehman and many others who were then making their way towards the main ceremony ground.

A beautiful customized green wall was present at the venue with Love Pakistan - Build Pakistan written on it, while the Hakim Saeed Award structure was placed right in between. 

As soon as the arrival of the Governor Sindh Mr. Zubair Omer was announced, all the guests were requested to reach the ceremony ground so that the main event can start right on time. While welcoming all the guests, Dr. Muzna Ibrahim who was the host of the evening, warmly welcomed the Governor Sindh Mr. Zubair Omer. The event started with the recitation of Holy Quran followed by National Anthem that warmed our hearts even more. Then came Mr. Talat Hussain with his evergreen Soulful voice who took us through the journey of Late Hakim Muhammad Saeed, his overall hardwork and struggle. Then the host invited Mr. Usama Qureshi, MD and CEO Hamdard Pakistan who briefed us about the new initiative and re-branding of Hamdard. 

After the brief address from Mr. Usama Qureshi, Dr. Muzna invited Chairperson Hamdard Pakistan Mrs. Saima Rashid, daughter of Late Hakim Muhammad Saeed and Mr. Zubair Umer, Governor Sindh to come on the stage and reveal the new identity and new logo of Hamdard Pakistan.

With the great announcement of corporate re-branding, the new TVC of Hamdard Pakistan was announced along with a soothing signature Qawwali by Abu Mohammad depicting the essence of Hakim Mohammad Saeed and Hamdard Pakistan.

It was such an honor for me to watch an incredibly prestigious ceremony glorifying some of the beautiful names of Pakistan. The main segment of delivering the awards began with Mr. Zubair Umer and Mrs. Saima Rashid on stage handing over the awards to the following winners in their respective fields.

The program concluded with MR. Zubair Ahmed addressing the audience, some mesmerizing satirical poetry by none-other-than Mr. Anwar Masood and a story recital by Mr. Talat Hussain. The guests were then invited for dinner and after a scrumptious break a grand Qawwali night awaited us by Abu Mohammad and Humnawa taking us back to the world of Sufism.

La Bloggers Party at Accessorize, Dolmen Mall Clifton

Last Friday, Accessorize Pakistan organized a fun-filled gettogether for the K-town bloggers. The meetup involved meet & greet, product briefing, store exploration and a scrumptious complimentary treat from Lals Patisserie. The event started at 6pm as soon as the bloggers began to pour in. We were greeted by Samreen, and beautiful Ayesha from this British store briefed us about the whole event and how we are going to enjoy each and every moment of it. All the bloggers were given VIP passes to roam around the store and review each and every item. We had the liberty to check out whatever we like and take unlimited pictures of the products along with some chit-chat with the fellow bloggers.

Accessorize is one of the famous High Street UK based fashion brands that deal in some of the exquisite and top-quality fashion accessories. Accessorize was launched in 1984 and has successfully won tremendous Instyle Shopping Awards for being the Best High Street Accessories brand. This is not enough, as there are so many other things to show and discuss. Got the chance to go through the fantastic stationery where each and every item was cute with great packaging, and I couldn't resist grabbing a few pieces for the little child in my heart.

While roaming around and having a chit-chat with my fellow bloggers, I came across the Monsoon Children Pakistan, a clothing brand that is interconnected with Accessorize Pakistan. This portion of the store had all the amazing collection a little girl can dream of. The Autumn/Winter collection is already introduced with some of the amazing pieces. Let's have a quick look:

For me, Accessorize felt like a wonderland and a few hours were not enough to explore the beauty of every product. But I tried my level best to go through every rack and indulge the sweetness of the beautiful accessories. The unforgettable event ended with a goodbye note from the management, a group photograph, distribution of goody bags and complimentary treat from Lals Patisserie.

It was lovely meeting the Accessorize management and fellow bloggers and above all a complete survey of the store.
